Scan and OCR (Optical Character Recognition / Recognize Text) documents in PDF format with the DocOCR app. This powerful tool allows users to easily convert physical documents, books, whiteboards, receipts, business cards, posters, and coupons into digital PDFs.

One of the standout features of DocOCR is that all OCR and image processing tasks are performed directly on the user's device, eliminating any risk of data exposure. This ensures maximum security and privacy for sensitive documents.

Moreover, the Photo Collage feature allows users to combine multiple pages into a single sheet. This is particularly useful when needing to print multiple pages, such as two sides of ID cards, on a single A4 or Letter paper.

The app automatically detects document edges and surfaces in pictures, dewarps curved surfaces, corrects perspective distortion, removes shadows, and enhances the overall image quality. This functionality is especially beneficial in low-light environments.

DocOCR offers a convenient and user-friendly file management system. Users can easily organize their scanned documents by grouping them in folders, creating, deleting, editing, renaming, duplicating, merging, splitting, and moving documents between folders. The app also provides a search function for quickly locating documents by name or conducting a full-text search (Bronze plan).

For seamless accessibility across devices, users have the option to enable auto file sync with iCloud Drive. This allows scanned documents to be easily accessed from any other device (Bronze plan). Alternatively, WiFi file sharing enables users to read all PDF files directly from their device.

In addition to these features, DocOCR offers various import/export options. Documents can be emailed as PDF or JPEG files and OCR results can be exported as TXT or DOCX files. Users can also fax documents to over 100 countries instantly through an in-app purchase option (cost calculated by the number of pages and recipient country). Additionally, the app supports transferring documents between devices, downloading/uploading to SMB, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, OneDrive, and WebDAV Server. Printing documents via AirPrint and saving them to Photo Albums are also supported. Finally, users can easily open documents in other compatible apps like iBooks, Kindle, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Importing files into DocOCR is straightforward and can be done via the "Open In" feature from other apps or directly from cloud storage services.

The app also includes a built-in fax function, which is particularly useful for users who are often away from the office or do not have access to a physical fax machine. With the fax feature, users can send and receive faxes and receive push notifications for successful or failed transmissions. Non-auto renewable fax subscriptions are available, supporting dozens of countries (with ongoing additions), allowing users to subscribe for a dedicated fax number to receive faxes. Users can also choose to deny all faxes when not needed.

DocOCR offers a Bronze plan subscription for enhanced functionality. Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis and are billed at rates based on the selected plan. Payment is charged to the user's App Store account upon confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal charges occur within 24 hours before the end of the current period and depend on the selected plan. Users have the option to manage their subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal through their Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited upon purchasing or canceling a subscription.
